The Department of Economic Planning and Statistics (DEPS) provides official statistics and economic performance reporting to support informed decision-making across Government and stakeholders. Complementing this role, DEPS undertakes consumer protection and market oversight functions that promote fair and transparent markets and safeguard consumer welfare. Together, these functions contribute to sound economic governance, fair market practices, and a progressive and dynamic economy in line with Goal 3 Wawasan Brunei 2035: Dynamic and Sustainable Economy.
